Dear Parents of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in Ozark,

Welcome back to a new school year at Mixon Intermediate School! Remember, “Intermediate” means more than just grades 3-5 in the same building; it means we are creating a bridge of educational years for your children who are growing into adolescents. Our goal is to educate and nurture each child through these years and prepare them for middle school!   Our first day of school is August 4, 2017. Our focus at Mixon Intermediate School will be to provide each child with new challenges that will result in a rewarding and safe school experience.   Academic emphasis on the core content areas of reading, writing, math, language arts, science, and social studies will remain a priority as well as providing a learning program that builds each year to reach local, state, and national standards. Listed below you will find important dates and information that you will need for the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year.
