Welcome to Mixon Intermediate School!

My name is Maghen Corbitt Lowery and I am the Principal at Mixon Intermediate School. Let me begin by saying how proud I am to be the principal at such a fine school with so many wonderful students and the best teachers and staff!  I was born and raised right here in Ozark, Alabama and attended Lisenby Elementary School, D.A. Smith Middle School, and Carroll High School!  I am married to Justin Lowery and we have two children. I am an Auburn University graduate and hold a B.S. degree in Rehabilitation and Special Education, a M.S. in Assessment/Evaluation, a M.Ed. in Collaborative Education all from AU!  WAR EAGLE! I also hold an Ed.S. degree in Education Administration from the University of West Florida. Before becoming the Principal at Mixon Intermediate School I served as the Principal at the former Lisenby Elementary School, now Lisenby Primary, from 2010-2015. I have also served in the position of an Assistant Principal at Lisenby Elementary and at Carroll High School in years past. Prior to being in administration I was a special education teacher for Henry County Schools and a special education teacher in Ozark City Schools.
